خلاصه مقاله:
Now a days mobile technologies have enabled human beings a new way of comprehending and internalizing what they intend to learn. Iranian mobile phone users’ intention to positively accept the use of M-learning is due to encouraging factors such as perceived mobility value and perceived usefulness of the Mobile Learning. This present research seeks to investigate the results of a study of the effect of SMS-Oriented method within m-learning approach on internalizing reading comprehension achievement of Iranian pre-intermediate EFL Learners. For this aim, 40 students were selected randomly and after taking a placement test, they were divided into experimental and control group. The experimental group received the treatment, i.e. learning reading texts by the use of SMS, while for the control group reading was taught traditionally through paper and pencil. After 4 months of instruction, the posttest was administered and its result was compared with the pre-test. The analysis of the results showed that SMS-oriented method within m-learning enhanced students’ interest and involvement in the learning process and could make students respond positively in a language classroom. So they could benefit from this method in internalizing the reading texts information and recalling the related data more quickly and accurately.
