This paper explains the problem of the voltage sagsor swells and their harmful effects on sensitive loads. One ofthe efficient methods to protect sensitive loads against voltageproblems is utilization of Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR)which has powerful performance, and it is considered as a costeffective method. The DVR can be implemented to protect agroup of medium voltage or low voltage consumers. The newconfiguration of DVR has been proposed using improved d-q-ocontroller technique. Simulation results carried out byMatlab/Simulink verify the performance of the proposedmethod.
