Original meiotic chromosome counts are presented for ۱۲ species in seven families of Angiosperms from Iran, including Allium lngisepalum Bertol. (n=۸), Allium cristophii Trautv. (n=۸), Allium scabriscapum Boiss. & Kotschy (n=۸), Centaurea gaubae (Bornm.) Wagenitz (n=۱۴), Leucanthemum vulgare, (n=۱۸), Tragopogon vaginatum (n=۶), Ferula persica Willd. (n=۱۱), Zosima absinthifolia (Vent.) Link. (n=۵), Lathyrus rotundifolius Willd. (n=۷), Erodium oxyrrhychum M. Bieb. subsp. Oxyrrhychum (n=۲۰), Agrimonia procera (Rosaceae) (n=۲۸), Dendrostellera lessertii Van Tiegh (n=۹). Three counts are reported for the first time and eight meiotic studies are presented here for the first time.
