خلاصه مقاله:
Wet cooling towers of power plants are one of the highlyconsumed water resources in Iran. Despite the recentdrought, considering water consumption is one of the mostnecessity measurements in using wet cooling towers. Asgreat amount of water is converted to vapor in wet coolingtowers, the present study attempted to answer this question Does the water temperature entering the cooling towerhave any effect on evaporated water in tower? At first, thesimulations of counter-flow wet cooling tower were done byMatlab software. Then, the conditions of wet cooling towersdesign of Shahid Mofateh power plant in Hamedan wereconsidered as the basis of work. The researches showed thatif inlet water temperature is 34℃, compared to the case inwhich inlet water temperature is 38℃, there will be2’650’000 Litter less evaporated water daily. Thisdifference has considerable effect on water consumption ofa power plant.
