In this work, a self-supporting Cu/Pt and Cu-Sn/Pt foam nanostructure were electrodeposited on the surfaceof glassy carbon electrode (GCE) using a facile double-template fabrication process, including hydrogen bubbletemplating method and galvanic replacement. Cu and Cu-Sn foam nanostructures are electro-deposited on GCE and thenPt foam nanostructures are loaded on the surface of GCE by galvanic replacement reaction between Cu foamnanostructures and PtCl4. The physical and electrochemical properties of modified electrodes are investigated by scanningelectron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). The prepared twomodified electrodes is used as the anode electrocatalyst for methanol electrooxidation. Electrochemical studies show thatCu-Sn/Pt foam nanostructure modified electrode has a good electrocatalytic activity toward methanol oxidation thanCu/Pt foam nanostructure modified electrode.
