In this investigation, a new and simple expression based on the reduced temperature function has been proposed for modifying Redlich–Kwong equation of state (EoS) for computing the solubilities of three solid polychlorinated biphenyls contains 4,4‘-dichlorobiphenyl (4,4‘-DCB), ,3’,4’,5-tetrachlorobiphenyl (2,3’,4’,5-TCB) and 2,2’,3,3’,4,4’-hexachlorobipheny (2,2',3,3',4,4'-HCB) in supercritical carbon dioxide. In order to recognize the advantages of the present model, the modified RK EOS (βRK) was also compared with the PR EOSincombination with the vdW1 and the Wong-Sandler (WS) mixing rules. The results of the proposed model showed that the new EOSperformed well for calculating the solubility of these three solids in supercritical carbon (AARD = 9.9%)compared with other models.
