This paper discusses about the power quality problemssuch as harmonic distortion and voltage sag in wind farm system.The basic idea of wind energy conversation system is enhance thegrid capacity and sharing of active power. Wind turbines usesinduction generator, the requirement of reactive power forexcitation of generator is drawn from the grid causing an increasein grid current. The integration of DSTATCOM reduces thereactive power burden on grid. With a proper control like indirectcurrent control scheme, this compensator is capable of eliminatingharmonic distortion and mitigating voltage sag. In this study twotest systems are used and every system operates in two modes, withand without DSTATCOM. The performance of proposed controlscheme is validated through simulation carried out usingMATLAB/SIMULINK
