خلاصه مقاله:
The purpose of this paper is to discuss important aspects of task based syllabuses to provide a theoretical framework for planning and selecting the appropriate tasks to design a task oriented syllabus as well as review of some important consideration in conducting the designing process. Procedural and process syllabus each has been seen as initial attempt to provide a perfect task oriented syllabus using a series of unfocused tasks graded and sequenced on the basis of their difficulty but dissatisfaction with them in eliciting correct as well as fluent language use finally led to task-based language teaching that is considered as the basis for planning and designing task-based syllabus. Finally essential steps and reservations before designing such a syllabus are introduced. This paper may provide syllabus designers with useful information about how to conduct a class with materials that are prepared based on effectively designed tasks.
