خلاصه مقاله:
Secondary infections caused by bacteria in chronic skin wounds such as pressure ulcer or bed sores leading to ulcer development, prevention of wound healing and causes sepsis and death in patients. Bed sores infections are caused in various departments of hospitals due to long time hospitalization under various conditions and create huge losses in terms of health expenditure and psychological problems in patients. The aim of this study was to isolate and identify aerobic bacteria from bedsore ulcers in hospitalized patients and determining antibiotic resistance of bacteria isolated in three hospitals in Tehran. From the 49 Patients in this study, 19 patients were from Imam hossein, 21 were from Rassol Akram and 9 from Tajrish Shohada hospital. Cultures from skin lesions were obtained by use of sterile swabs. After direct microscopic examination by gram staining , swabs were spread on the surface of Hearth infusion agar supplemented %5 defibrinated sheep blood for aerobic cultures. Antibiotic resistance of bacteria was determined by Disc diffusion method according to CLSI 2014. Among bacterial isolates, Pseudomonas aeruginosa(36%) had highest frequency, then Staphylococcus aureus(32%) then Escherichia coli (30%).The frequency of Klebsiella and Proteus was 10% and 8%. The most bacteria isolated had 100% resistance to antibiotics used inthisstudy(Penicillin-Amoxycillin-Vancomycin-Gentamycin-Ampicillin-Ciprofloxacin-Cephalothin- Azithromycin- Nitrofurantoin- Kanamycin- Tetracyclin ). Our results showed that Pseudomonas and Staphylococcus aureus are two important bacteria that exist in pressure ulcer. Antibiotic resistant bacteria and multi drug resistant bacteria in pressur ulcers are the main cause of healing inhibition.
