In the past decades, many environmental and extensive research projects have been focused on the repercussion of the suspended particulate matter. The effects of particulate matter as a major concern on public health in many industrialized areas are being felt worldwide issue. As the air pollution mapping and spatial dispersion analysis of PM2.5 because of various factors are complex, in this paper, Geographic Information system (GIS) was utilized to zoning PM2.5 dispersion over Tehran in the year 1393 (according to Iranian calendar). Therefore, IDW method was applied to develop the spatial distribution of pollutants, determination the high concentration of PM2.5 in the 22 Tehran’s regions, and recognition of the Tehran’s regions with high levels of health concerns. The sensitivity of the IDW method parameters such as power, the number of neighbors, and sector types have been calculated in relation to RMSE changes by considering the parameters changes of IDW and RMSEmin determination. The results show that the highest PM2.5 concentration has been located in the center and south of the city. The power sensitivity with 12.725% has more influence on RMSE changes in comparison to the number of neighbors and sector type parameters sensitivity with 4.783% and 1.6583% respectively.
