In this paper, we introduce the notion of fuzzy primary ideals of an MV -algebra and investigate some of its properties. Also, several characterizations of this fuzzy ideals aregiven and establish the so called primary extension for fuzzy ideals. In addition, we show that is a fuzzy primary ideal of A if and only if A= is local MV -algebra.
