خلاصه مقاله:
Neogene Deposits in the east os central Iran consists of silisiclastic rocks including conglomerate, sandstone with minor amount of mud rocks and evaporate sediments. The aim of this study is to identify facies variation in vertical and lateral directions in order to identify lithofacies, artichetural elements and eventually interpret depositional environment. Lower part of Neogene Deposit with 18 meter thickness consists of alternative evaporate and Frn. The middle part with 71 meter thickness is sandstone including Sm and with lesser amounts of St, Sp, Sh and conglomerate facies including Gcm, Gmm and with lesser amount of Gh, Gp and Gt. Upper part with 18 meter thickness is conglomerate include Gcm and Gmm. Artichetural element in the lower part is FF, The middel part include artichetural elements of SG, GB, SB and CH. Artichetural element of upper part is mainly SG. These sediments from base to top were deposited in playa, proximal to mid sandy-gravelly bed braided river in alluvial fan depositional systems.
