خلاصه مقاله:
Preformed Particle Gels (PPGs) treatment is one of the most reliable methods for conformance control enhancementin mature water flooded oil reservoirs. Prediction and evaluation of PPGs’ behavior flow through porous media isessential. In this contribution, more details about advanced PPGs designed for high temperature and high salinity insituconditions are presented. The experimental data presented in this paper are about the retention characteristicsand performance of the PPGs in porous media. A set of 50-cm long slim tubes, packed with crushed carbonatecores materials from an Iranian offshore oil reservoir, were used to evaluate the effects of temperature and porousmedium permeability on PPGs retention at reservoir conditions. The results showed that adsorption was thedominant mechanism for PPGs retention in a sense that it decreased when higher temperature was used.
