Dendritic materials including dendrimers, dendrigrafts and hyperbranchs are a new class of artificial macromolecules with interesting properties, such as globular shapes, welldefinedmolecular weights and sizes, monodispersity, multivalency, and relatively nonpolar interior cavities[1-2].These polymers can be used for surface modification of fibers and films via grafting method [3-4]. Dendrigraft polymers are subset of dendrimer-like molecules with linear polymer as theinitial core which its characteristics are now under consideration by the researchers. Surface modification withdendrigraft structure in convergent and divergent synthetic route can lead to increase the functional terminal group on the core as well as cavities within the branches [5]. The presentwork is an attempt to evaluate the adsorption of various heavy metal ions by dendritic structure of citric acid grown on polyacrylonitrile/acrylic acid copolymer film
