خلاصه مقاله:
Epoxy resins are some of the most important thermosettings, and are widely used as coatings, electronic materials, adhesives, and in structural applications [1,2].The effective enhanced physicalproperties such as thermal properties (e.g., thermal stability, flame retardant, thermal conductivity ), mechanical properties(e.g.,mechanical strength , hardness , abrasion resistance ), electro-rheological properties , permeability properties(e.g., gasbarrier , pervaporation) and corrosion protection properties of polymers[3].An alternative approach for toughening is to fillepoxy cured polymers with inorganic nano-fillers to achievenanocomposites. Nano-clay, a layered silicate, is widely used for enhancement of epoxy properties [4]. In addition to layered nanofillers,various particulate ones such as: silica (SiO2) [5], alumina (Al2O3) [6], titania (TiO2) [7] and calcium carbonate (CaCO3)[8] are also employed for this purpose. Tensile strenght and impact strenght improvement were investigated and discussed in this paper
