Lightly cross-linked poly (acrylic acid) has widespread application such as thickeners, suspending agent and stabilizers in personal care and pharmaceutical products [1].These cross-linked polymers are synthesized by precipitation polymerization as white precipitation particles that can swellup and increase the viscosity of solution. In current study, cross-linked poly(acrylic acid)whit HDDA was formed by precipitation polymerization in toluene. FTIRspectroscopy was verified that this cross-linked polymer was formed and the effects of cross-linker concentration onrotational and apparent viscosity were investigated. We found optimal cross-linker concentration at maximum viscosity
