خلاصه مقاله:
High pressure valves are extensively in use as stopping device in oil, gas, petrochemical, and refinery industries. Dependent on the plug’s shape, valves are called to be conical, cylindrical, or spherical. Such valves are used in high pressure, high temperature, and corrosive environments. That is why, to achieve a high reliability in using these valves, tightness becomes a very important problem in practice. To solve the tightness problem, contact theorems in elasticity theory should be used, because tightness is the result of pressing two surfaces together. But to solve such contact problems requires managing serious mathematical difficulties. To overcome this difficulty, we proposed a simplified engineering solution in this article. The experiments demonstrated the validity and precision of the engineering solutions. The article is devoted to the tightness calculations of cylindrical (conical) plug valves. The tightness relations of plug valves have been formulated and the due calculations for a certain valve have been introduced. Losing of tightness and Leaking, would result in losing oil or gas and polluting the environment. So tightness calculations is important both from economic and ecological point of view.
