background: Traffic accidents are one of the most important causes of death worldwide, especially in Iran, and affect people of all ages. Accidents and accidents add a lot of socio-economic burden to developing. Accidents and accidents are rapidly increasing in low-income and middle-income countries and mortality from accidents and incidents is expected to reach 4.8 million people by 2020.Methods: This study is a descriptive cross -sectional study on traffic deaths in Ramhormoz city from 2014 to 2017, which has been documented from forensic medicine, hospitals and medical records and according to the death certificate issued to the Department of Health Statistics of the city Obtained and processed by Soft Excel. The collected data were entered into the statistical software of 8SPSS1 and analyzed by descriptive statistics, frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Chi-square test. P <0.05 was considered as a significant level.Results: From 2014 to 2017, 157 deaths occurred due to an accident, of which 34 were females and 123 were males. The highest number of deaths was reported in 1996 (37) and the lowest was 94 (23). In terms of age distribution, the most cases are in the age group of 20 to 40 years old (60 people). In terms of education, the highest rates of death were related to high school education. Distribution was not based on the difference between rural and urban.conclusion: The results of this study, as well as other studies, show that the highest number of deaths due to accidents occurs in men. Accidents bring a lot of costs to the community. Therefore, policymakers must support crash control policies with applicable regulations.
