چکیده مقاله:

Walking is the method or way in which a person moves from one place to another by his lower limbs. Today, the job position requires walking and standing for a long time. The result is that the strength of each person during daily activities, especially the reaction of the ground to the components and joints is very high. These forces, which sometimes reach several times the body weight, can have devastating effects on the feet and ankles. The path of the center of pressure while walking reflects the overall mechanics of the body. The present study was to evaluate the changes in gait with the Muscular Electrical Stimulation System (EMS) of the upper and lower limbs in the movement pattern of healthy individuals. In this study, ۱۲ participants with a mean age of: (۲۲.۵ ± ۱.۵۳) years, weight: (۷۸.۶ ± ۲.۷۱) kg and height: (۱۸۰ ± ۱.۶۱) cm were selected by convenience sampling. Participants were asked to walk at a self-selected speed. A foot scanner was placed in the middle of the walkway. Information about the center of pressure, relative duration of stance phases and forward angle was recorded in two modes with and without muscle stimulation vest (EMS). The received data were quantitatively entered into SPSS software version ۲۳ and after the data were normalized, it was examined by paired t-test.The electrical muscle stimulation system in the group that wore the Ems vest showed that the center of plantar pressure of the foot increased and improved balance in these individuals. (P = ۰.۰۱۹)The results of the present study indicate that the muscular electrical stimulation system (EMS) has favorable effects on the lower and upper limb and improves the balance and proper distribution of pressure and forces in the sole of the foot, which reduces and prevents skeletal injuries.
