چکیده مقاله:

Organic coatings are considered to be one of the fundamental methods for corrosion control. However, organic coatings are always are defect due to various reasons, such as incompletesurface preparation, the presence of thermal and mechanical stresses after application, etc.To solve this problem, another protective system called cathodic protection is used inconjunction with organic coatings. Combining these two methods reduces the required currentfor cathodic protection, but on the other hand, it leads to a destructive phenomenon calledcathodic disbondment, which is caused by the creation of an alkaline environment at theinterface between the coating/metal, reducing adhesion and causing the coating disbond fromthe metal surface. In this study, the effects of the parameters of coating thickness, sacrificialanode potential, and filler presence in the coating on the cathodic disbondment of ۱۰۰% solidepoxy phenol novalac coating in the presence of barium sulfate filler in ۳.۵% sodium chlorideelectrolyte were investigated. According to the results, increasing coating thickness, decreasing sacrificial anode potential, and filler presence in the coating reduced cathodicdisbondment
