چکیده مقاله:
The drag force plays an important role in hydrodynamics of multiphase flows in fluidized bed. In this work, two drag models were reviewed in a 3D gas-solid fluidized bed simulation, using Eulerian-Eulerian or two-fluid model (TFM) approach. The effect of drag force and modelling of a real distributor on time-averaged voidage have been investigated. The estimated time-averaged voidage was compared with experimental data. Results showed that by varying drag model, the qualitative gas-solid flow pattern changes significantly. In addition, the results showed that the voidage of the bed with real distributor is less than the bed with uniform distribution of gas at first, but it exceeds the case without real distributor.
