چکیده مقاله:

Visual art and Literature interrelate in myriad ways, so great works of literature and literary movements such as Romanticism and Expressionism have inspired numerous artists. The form and content of artistic works play a significant role to interpret the boundaries among techniques, written words, colors, and images. Both visual art and literature express their messages and share their stories through creativity and imagination. In the visual arts, Romanticism is referred to emotional and spiritual, representation of the unattainable ideal. David Hockney is one of the outstanding British painters who are inspired by the landscape around his childhood town. He develops new working methods, including digital photographs, to reimagine English Landscape. Based on the signification of Romantic movements in the literary canon and artist world, this study utilizes the major notions of Romanticism to shed light on the similarities between David Hackney's paintings and the fundamental principles of the English Romantic literary school, particularly the poetry of William Wordsworth. As a result, Romantic artists and authors explore themselves in real- life surroundings.
