چکیده مقاله:

Background and Objective: For the first time the corona virus was identified in Wuhan, China. One of the most important strategies to control covid-۱۹ pandemic is vaccination.Several vaccines have been approved by the World Health Organization and are available . Several factors affects acceptance such as: misconceptions about vaccination ،lack ofconfidence (vaccine or provider of it) ،efficacy of vaccine(۳-۵) Therefore, in this study we investigated beliefs and barriers related to COVID-۱۹ vaccination in South Khorasan Province of Iran.Materials and Methods:Aself-assessment questionnaire was designed. the questionnaire questions consisted of several sections: demographic information, and barriers andmotivations for vaccine injection. This questionnaire was provided to the participants through Pors Line an online survey platform in Iran. ۱۰۴۳ people participated in this study. The results were analyzed with SPSS version ۲۳ software. Normal distributions were evaluated using onesample Kolmogorov–Smirnov test. The analytical procedure consisted of two tests. First،Chisquare test was used to examine Relationship between vaccine and demographic characteristics. Also Logistic regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. This study was approved by the ethics committee of Birjand University of Medical Sciences (IR.BUMS.REC.۱۳۹۹.۴۸۵).Results: The majority of respondents were in the (۱۹-۳۰ years old). ۴۲.۴% of participants, were male and ۵۷.۶۰% were female. The majority of people stated that Covid ۱۹ is a serious and important disease (۸۷.۳%) and they said that they were more likely to get Covid ۱۹ (۶۰.۷%). ۸۵.۲% of the participants wanted to take the vaccine . One of the concerns in most people about vaccine injections is the side effects of vaccine.I n our study, in response to the question {I'm worried about the side effects of the Covid vaccine.}, most of participants agreed or strongly agreed (۷۷.۳%).I think Covid vaccine is dangerous for me :Only ۳۸% of respondents agreed with this sentence, and about ۳۴.۷% of them were neither agree nor disagree, and ۲۱% were opposed to this. Another thing that is considered to be one of the barriers associated with covid-۱۹ vaccination is the cost of the vaccine, also fear of getting Covid ۱۹ through vaccine injection. In our study, more than ۳۰% of people agreed with these two sentences: I'm worried to get COVID-۱۹ from the vaccine and I have to charge muchmoney for this vaccine. Also, a small percentage of respondents were afraid of injections (۱۶%). ۳۶.۳% of respondents were agree or strongly agree with this sentence : I believe in natural remedies and traditional medicine to treat covid-۱۹ disease. It seems that the role of religious beliefs as an obstacle in vaccination is very low and only ۶.۸% of people agreed or strongly agreed with: I do not get the Covid vaccine because of my religious beliefs. Most participants were opposed or strongly opposed with this sentence: I do not get the vaccine because I am not at high risk(۶۳.۴). The results of this study indicated that cyberspace and Doctors' recommendations are effective in encouraging people to accept vaccines. Conclusion: Covid-۱۹ pandemic control requires universal vaccination coverage, and this requires identifying barriers and factors influencing vaccine acceptance and designingprograms to address these barriers. As the barriers of vaccination decrease, so increases desire of participants to receive the vaccine.
