چکیده مقاله:

Several cell-based therapies have been proposed in recent years the management of low back pain, includingthe injection of medicinal signaling cells or mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).However, there is only emerging clinical evidence to support their use at this time.Diagnostic studies have demonstrated that themost common sources of low back pain include theintervertebral discs, the zygapophysial (facet), and thesacroiliac joints.Discogenic pathology, with orwithout internal disc derangement, has been estimatedto contribute from ۱۶.۹% to ۳۹% of cases of chroniclow back pain without radiculopathy. In addition, lumbar disc disorders may manifest as disc prolapse, protrusion, extrusion, and herniation.Treatment modalities in the management ofchronic lumbosacral pain include, conservative managementwith physical therapy, pharmacological therapy, interventional and intradiscal as well as surgical intervention through fusion or disc replacement. In disc degeneration, inflammatorycytokines produced by macrophages or disc cells playimportant roles in pain generation. In addition to traditional treatments, several cell-basedtherapies have recently been proposed including injections of medicinal signaling cells or mesenchymal stemcells (MSCs) or platelet-rich plasma (PRP).The findings of this systematic review and singlearmmeta-analysis demonstrate that MSCs and PRP maybe effective in managing discogenic low back pain, radicular pain, facet joint pain, and sacroiliac joint pain
