چکیده مقاله:

We pray prof Ante Graovac, a person who was hard-working and likely. He was a Croatian chemist. Prof. Dr. Graovac was born on ۱۵ July ۱۹۴۵ in Split, where he finished primary school and grammar school. In ۱۹۷۰, he graduated in physics in Zagreb, and from then until ۲۰۱۰ worked at the Institute Ruder Boskovic Institute, where he spent two terms as president of the scientific council. Specializing in theoretical chemistry in ۱۹۷۳ passed the American University of Utah, between ۱۹۸۱ and ۱۹۸۳ he was a visiting professor at the Max-Planck Institute in Germany. In the work of prof. Dr. Ante Graovac should be emphasized contribution to the establishment of a new scientific field of application of the methods of discrete mathematics on graphs molecules. The approach is now known as "the Zagreb school of mathematical chemistry." He loved the company and its achievements in science and the result of his inexhaustible energy, intelligence, ability and determination to always do something new and something better. Graovac's most profound and difficult work is in the mathematical chemistry. He was one of the pioneers of Math Chem, along with Hosoya, Gutman, Balaban, and Randic. His friends will always remember Ante Graovac enthusiasm, his warmth and humor, and his ready wit. Ante loved to recount anecdotes from his many contacts with the great scientists of the world.
