The effects of electromagnetic fields on plasma levels of corticosterone, free-T۳, free-T۴ malonyldialdehyde in white male rabbit with normal diet and hyperchlostrol diet

چکیده مقاله:

The main goal of this study was to evaluate the possible effect of whole-body magnetic field (MF) exposure on the variations of corticosterone, Free-T۳, Free-T۴ and malonyl dialdehyde in plasma in ۴۸ adult white New Zealand male rabbits. Animals were divided into six groups namely, C۱ (normal diet, not exposed), C۲ (normal diet, sham exposed), T۱ (normal diet, exposed to electromagnetic field), C۳ (high-cholesterol diet, not exposed), C۴ (high-cholesterol diet, sham exposed) and T۲ (high-cholesterol diet, exposed to electromagnetic field). In eight separate experiments, sham exposed groups (C۲ and C۴), were exposed to sham stimulated (without electromagnetic stimulation) for ۵ days, ۲ hour/day and the rabbits of the treatment groups (T۱ and T۲) were treated with triangular form ۱۰ Hz of electromagnetic field for ۵ days, ۲ hour/day, while the control groups (C۱ and C۳) had no any exposure. At the end of the exposure, after a ۱۲- hour fasting period, blood samples were taken and level of corticosterone, Free-T۳ and Free-T۴ were measured by Elisa kits and level of malonyldialdehyde was measured by spectrophotometric method. The results indicated that the blood serum levels of Free-T۳, Free-T۴ and Corticosterone in the T۱ and T۲ groups were significantly increased compared to those of their own control groups (P < ۰.۰۵). Malonyldialdehyde levels in T۲ animals showed a significant decrease compared to that of animals of C۳ and C۴ (P < ۰.۰۵). We conclude that ۱۰ Hz pulsed electromagnetic field can alter the levels of Free-T۳, Free-T۴ and corticosterone in animals with both normal diet and hyperchlosterol diet and also alter the amount of malonyldialdehyde in animals with hyperchlosterol diet.
