چکیده مقاله:

Today, one of the most challenging issues in the construction industry is the reduction of consuming materials to help the environment and the survival of ecosystems. In steel structures, this reduction can be transpired by focusing on the minimization of a cross-section of every sector and, at the same time the optimal distribution of bracing members in the structural system. Thus, the main objective of this paper is to optimize the structural topology and member sizes of braced steel frames and pedestrian bridges. In this regard, a new meta-heuristic algorithm called Covid-۱۹ Pandemic Optimization (CPO) was used. This algorithm is a strategy inspired by how the coronavirus spreads, which is modeled in three main stages: ۱. Communication between people in a community ۲. Communication between people from different communities ۳. Treat the most infected communities. In addition, to achieve realistic and constructive results encountered with all necessary design constraints, SAP۲۰۰۰v۲۲ structural analysis and design software has been used to carry out the objectives. Some results show more than ۳۰% weight loss
