چکیده مقاله:
Numerical investigations of laminar fully developed periodic heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics in corrugated ducts are presented. The governing equations are solved nu merically by a finite-volume method for elliptic flows in complex geometries using colocated variables and cartesian velocity components. The results were obtained for some ducts at uniform wall temperatures and for Reynolds number ranging from ۳۰ to ۱۵۰۰. The velocity vectors and streamline plots show complex flow patterns which give a physical understanding of the governing phenomena. High enhancement of the overall Nusselt number was obtained in some cases but the pressure drop penalty was also h.gh.
