چکیده مقاله:

The interaction of asphalt concrete and the surrounding filter materials in the asphaltic concrete core dams plays an important role on the performance of this kind of dams. The most important mechanical parameters of the interface of asphalt concrete and filter materials are the frictional parameters (e.g. the friction coefficient, shear stiffness and dilation angle). The interaction of asphalt concrete and surrounding filter has a vital role on the deformation of the central section of this kind of dams. However, it has not been sufficiently studied. Previous research studies on the interaction of different types of soils and asphalt concrete show that the interface parameters are function of factors such as, the type and properties of the bitumen used in asphalt concrete and surrounding soil, applied loads, temperature, time
