چکیده مقاله:

Fire stations, acting as hubs for deploying and standby for firefighting and rescue vehicles, are among the critical and vital service centers in cities. They play a significant role in ensuring the safety and comfort of the citizens and fostering the economic development of the cities. The objective of this study is to identify the optimal location for a new fire station in Fardis city, considering the two primary criteria of accessibility and demographic-physical standards. Using geographic information system (GIS) tools for data management and manipulation, this research offers a comprehensive analysis for optimizing fire station locations. The indicators used in the study include main roads, population density, commercial centers, educational centers, medical centers, administrative centers, industrial centers, and operational radius. Data normalization was carried out using a fuzzy membership algorithm, ensuring an accurate comparison of various variables. Pairwise comparison questionnaires were employed to extract the final weight of the indicators based on expert responses. The weights, accompanied by an inconsistency rate in the Expert Choice software environment, stand at ۰,۰۵, which is deemed acceptable. Proximity to main roads with a zone of ۰,۳۱۵ ranks first, followed by population density weighted at ۰,۲۶۶, and distance from commercial centers weighted at ۰,۱۷۲ in third place. Additionally, the distance from other fire stations with a zone of ۰,۰۲۲ is in the last position, and industrial centers with a weight of ۰,۰۲۵ are next to last. The successful layering of different data was achieved using various fuzzy functions AND, OR, SUM, PRODUCT, and GAMA. Ultimately, the Gamma method was chosen as the most suitable for determining fire station locations in Fardis city, and three new stations, in addition to the existing seven, were suggested to cover the entire city's functional scope.
