چکیده مقاله:

Wind power seems to be one of the most interesting technologies for electrical energy generation by renewable sources. There are many technical solutions adopted to increase the system efficiency by utilizing proper generators. In the paper, after presenting permanent magnet machines (PMMs) as a suitable generator of wind turbine, a comparison of two general types of PMGs, which are radial flux permanent magnet generators (RFPM) and axial flux permanent magnet generators (AFPM), is done up to now. Results obtained by the comparison are discussed in the paper to demonstrate that which types of generators are better for wind power applications.
