Traffic Congestion: A System for Controlling Traffic in Wireless Vehicular Networks Using Intelligent Technologies

The problem of traffic jams is becoming more and more serious as there are too many cars on the road,exceeding the capacity of the roads. To tackle this problem, the paper introduces TraffCon, an inventiveTraffic Management System (TMS) designed for Wireless Vehicular Networks, which aims to optimizethe use of the existing road capacity. The paper also proposes a new structure that includes a decisionmakingmodule on the server side, enabling the dissemination of instructions to drivers to achieve themost efficient utilization of the roads.
