چکیده مقاله:
Studying wall jets can provide further understanding of the fundamental nature of the flow, leading to improvements in the various practical applications such as heating and film cooling, drag reduction, momentum and mass transfer, etc. Although considerable research has been done on these jets in past years, there is still little clear information about the appropriate turbulence model for the simulation of plane wall jets. In the present work, the most common k-є models, namely the standard, the RNG, and the realizable k-є models are evaluated for the simulation of these jets. Numerical simulations are performed using the flow solver Fluent and results are compared with the available experimental data and the most appropriate k-є model is determined.
