چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in Iran and the world. Biomarkers such as steroid and HER۲ receptors play a role key in assessing the clinical course, prognosis and type of treatment for breast cancer. Breast cancers that have steroid receptors and respond to hormone therapy have a better prognosis than cancers without steroid receptors. Despite extensive research in this field, differences in the results and the impact of demographic factors on the status of these biomarkers, the importance of further studies in various regions, including Iran.. In the present study, the relationship between these biomarkers of ER, PR, HERB۲ along with age, family history and tumor malignancy and benign with metastasis is analyzed in South of Iran. Methods: This study was based on data collected from samples of ۱۰۹ breast cancer patients who referred to Gerash University of Medical Sciences between ۱۳۹۶ and ۱۳۹۸. At that time, estrogen, progesterone and HERB۲ receptors were evaluated using immunohistochemistry on paraffin block and family information was collected through a questionnaire. Data were entered into SPSS ۲۶ software and analysis was performed using Chi-square method (P less than ۰.۰۵ was considered significant). Results: There was a significant relationship between family history and type of cancer in terms of malignancy and benign, ER and PR, ER and HERB۲, absence of ER with metastasis, PR with HERB۲, absence of PR with metastasis, tumor marker HERB۲ with metastasis. Also in this study, PR and ER were directly correlated with each other, but the age of the clients was not related to any of the above variables. conclusion: In a study in the South of the Iran, the relationship between the absence of genetic markers with a poor(bad) prognosis (tumor metastasis) and The history of the disease in its malignant form and the recurrence of malignancy in the patient's family were confirmed, but the presence of cancer genetic markers was not related to patients' age. Examination of the above biomarkers at the time of diagnosis will to some extent determine the outcome of the disease.
