Construction Practices of Reinforced Concrete-faced Rockfill Dam of Yixing Pumped Storage Power Station

The upper reservoir of Yixing Pumped Storage Power Station is constructed in a depression basin by means of excavation and backfill and has a capacity of 5.307 million m3. The main structures include the main dam, the sub-dam, the water inlet and outlet. The whole reservoir basin uses reinforced concrete slab to prevent seepage and the total area requiring seepage prevention reaches 180.6 thousand m2.
