چکیده مقاله:

Given that concrete structures represent a major group of existing structures, their retrofit and reinforcement is of paramount importance. Seismic rehabilitation and retrofit of concrete structures are performed for several reasons, including possible errors in the design and construction of the structure, which may lead to various forms of structural defects. These structures can be repaired and reinforced through a handful of different methods. High-rise buildings exhibit very good structural performance. The present research evaluates and compares seismic behavior of high-rise concrete structures reinforced with steel bracing and steel shear walls to provide a basis for further research in the field. For this purpose, two ۱۵- and ۲۰-story concrete structures reinforced with steel bracing and steel shear walls were modeled to investigate their seismic behavior. Incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) was performed with the help of a minimum of ۱۵ near-field accelerograms introduced in FEMA-P۶۹۵ procedure. Given that the seismic excitations introduced in this research were more reliable and more critical than those considered in the FEMA-P۶۹۵, SAP۲۰۰۰ and OpenSees software tools were utilized for initial design of the structures and nonlinear analysis of them, respectively. In order to account for the effects of torsion, an asymmetric plan was considered for the modeled structures.
