چکیده مقاله:

With the shifting of research focus from teachers to learners in L۲ learning, affective factors, such as attitudes and motivation, were thought to account a lot for language learning accomplishments. Anxiety plays a significant role in L۲ learning. The current study aims at investigating the anxiety level of Iranian elementary EFL learners through foreign language classroom anxiety scale.To this end, ۱۸۰ students from two senior high schools were asked to participate in this study. Based on the performance of the participants on the Quick Placement Test, the researcher recruited ۱۰۰ students through availability sampling. To determine the anxiety level of the participants, the Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale Horwitz et al. [۴] was employed. The findings of the current study indicated that ۸۳% of participants were moderately anxious.
