چکیده مقاله:
Hydrogels are smart materials with the cross-linked polymeric structure that can absorb hugeamounts of water, paving the way for various applications in drug delivery systems, tissueengineering, and other health-related areas. In fact, hydrogels are stimuli-responsive materialsthat undergo structural alterations following the changes in temperature, pH, electrical field,etc. Despite the advantages of conventional hydrogels, there are several defects in terms ofrelease rate, mechanical properties, so on. Scientists in materials science and polymerengineering try to improve their properties for various applications. Recently, there have beennumerous improvements in the realm of hydrogels. This study aims to address the currentadvances in therapeutic applications of these smart materials.
