چکیده مقاله:
The current study aimed to explore the relationship between green human resource management (GHRM) practices and the development of individual competencies and environmental responsibility of restaurant workers in Tehran's foodservice industry. Three research questions were formulated to investigate the direct positive relationship between GHRM practices and the development of individual competencies and environmental responsibility of restaurant workers and to examine the effect of different types of GHRM practices on these outcomes. The study used a practical research approach and collected data through a survey using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, covariance or correlation matrix analysis, and the Kolmogorov Smirnov test. The results indicated that GHRM practices had a significant positive effect on the organizational commitment of employees, their behavior compatible with the environment, and the environmental performance of the hotel. The organizational commitment of employees also had a significant positive effect on their behavior compatible with the environment, which, in turn, had a significant positive effect on the environmental performance of the hotel. Overall, the study highlights the importance of GHRM practices in promoting individual competencies and environmental responsibility among restaurant workers, which can ultimately contribute to the sustainability of the foodservice industry. The study's findings have practical implications for managers and policymakers, suggesting the need to integrate environmental responsibility into performance evaluation and incentive systems and to implement various types of GHRM practices to enhance employee attitudes towards the environment.
