Comparison of conventional methods for determination of serum bilirubin level

Researchers' interest in creating novel techniques for laboratory setup and point-of-care applications has been piqued by the rising need for a sensitive, quick, and reliable method for determining blood bilirubin levels. Unconjugated (free and albumin-bound) bilirubin, conjugated (direct) bilirubin, and total (conjugated and unconjugated) bilirubin in the blood are all measured as part of these initiatives because they may provide crucial data for the diagnosis of several illnesses and metabolic problems. The purpose of this article is to provide a Comparative study of conventional methods for determination of serum bilirubin level used in laboratories to the sensitive instrument-based methods suited to determining specific bilirubin forms to the various portable low-cost systems.
