The Effectiveness of Instructing ManagementSkill Based on ACHIEVE Model to Managerson the Midwives' Productivity

چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: The importance of efficiency and improvement ofhealth service for resolving people's health requirement andmeeting their expectation is increasing. In addition, it considersas a priority for making decision and manager's activity in healthofficial. Manager's control on the management principle and theproper use of their management skill and creating a sense of trustand commitment are the tools that were providing a goodcondition for working and catching the organization's goals.Methods: In this quasi- experimental study, before beginning theresearch, the Non-teaching hospitals that are affiliated to theKurdistan's Medical Science University were randomly dividedinto ۲ groups. Three hospitals from ۳ cities considered as acontrol group, and three hospitals from ۳cities considered as anintervention group.۸۰ person of hospital's midwifery staffclassified in these ۲ group by quota method and the hospital'shead nurses and midwifery managers of intervention-controlinvolved by census method. The research's tool was Herse andGold- Smith's standard efficiency questionnaire, which was filledout at the beginning of the study by the midwifery staff andmanagers of both groups. Then it gave to the hospital's nurses andmidwifery managers of the intervention group's instructingmanagement skills based on ACHIEVE model for ۱۶ hours. Theefficiency's questionnaire was filled out, compared, and evaluatedagain by the midwifery staff of both groups, ۱۲ weeks afterintervention. The data analyzed by the independent T-test,variance analysis, paired T-test, and SPSS ۲۲.Results: The findings showed that the average of the midwiferystaff efficiency mainly developed in the intervention team afterthe instruction of management skills to the managers (P <۰.۰۰۱).The instruction of the management skill to the head nurses andmidwifery managers based on ACHIEVE model caused theefficiency's promotion in midwifery staff.Conclusion: According to the fact that the effect of theDirectorate skill's instruction program of nurses and midwiferymanagers on efficiency evaluated, it has been suggested that somestudies were well done in assessing the impact of other factors,such as midwives' sanitation, empowerment them, incentivefactors, leadership style, etc. on the midwifery staffs' efficiency.Also, a qualitative research should be done with this regard.
