The necessity of applying HSE in the oil and gas industryand the importance of its continuous implementation andmonitoring

With the ever-increasing growth of technology in the oil and gas industry, we are still facing increasingdangers and risks from work. Controlling these risks requires a kind of management system that leads toreducing these risks and ensuring increased safety, well-being of personnel, and environmental protection.Since the management of health, safety and environment is one of the key and very important issues in theimplementation of oil and gas projects, it is therefore necessary to play an important role in reducing therisks and work hazards by observing the HSE disciplines in the contracting organizations, and as a result,improving the country's HSEMS. This is despite the fact that nowadays international contractor companiesconsider the applied HSE management and how to perform in this field as one of the most importantindicators of global marketing and they always try to improve the existing HSE management status andimprove it so that the statistics and information of the applied management to the client (employer) shouldshow that in the HSE department, systematic thinking and acting is the ultimate goal. The purpose of thisarticle is to investigate the role and importance of health, safety and environment in oil and gas industriesfrom different dimensions and perspectives and to emphasize the necessity of an integrated health, safetyand environment management system in these industries.
