Review: Separation anxiety and loneliness disorders are associated with many problems and several therapeutic methods have been introduced for treatment of children with this disorder. Objective: The present study is to compare the effectiveness of play therapy and story therapy on loneliness and separation anxiety in primary school children. Method: The research method is semi-experimental with three groups of pre-test and post-test with control group. The statistical population of this study includes children of age ۷ Up ۱۲ The year of Fars province that was purposefully selected and randomly divided into two experimental groups (۱۵ Individual) and control group (۱۵ Individual). The people were appointed. To collect data, Asher & Willy Child Loneliness Questionnaire and Separation Anxiety Questionnaire Children Symptoms csl_۴ Anger Anxiety Inventory was used. Each group of play and story therapy ۸ meeting ۴۵ minutes they were treated. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance and the findings showed that there is a significant difference between play therapy and story therapy with control group. Conclusion: According to the results of the present study, it can be said that play therapy and story therapy can be used as a therapeutic method for loneliness and separation anxiety in primary school children, so the effect of play therapy is more than story therapy.
