چکیده مقاله:
Objective: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between primary maladaptive schema and procrastination in college students. Method: This is a descriptive correlational research. The statistical population was all the students of the University of Sistan and Baluchestan, ۱۰۰ of whom were selected using the available sampling method. The data were collected using the Young (۲۰۰۵) self-report questionnaire and the Tuckman (۱۹۹۹) questionnaire, and finally, the statistical analysis of the data was done in SPSS version ۲۵ using Pearson's correlation and step-by-step regression. Findings: The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the initial maladaptive schema of insufficient self-discipline at a significant level (P<۰.۰۰۰۱) and correlation coefficient (r=۰.۳۳), and vulnerability to illness and loss at a significant level (p<۰.۰۰۴) and correlation coefficient (r=۰.۲۶) had a significant relationship with procrastination. Also, insufficient self-discipline schema with Beta coefficient (۰.۳۳) and vulnerability to disease schema with Beta coefficient (۰.۲۴) predicted procrastination. Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be acknowledged that the initial maladaptive schemas and procrastination act as obstacles in achieving the progress and success of college students. Therefore, it is better to design and develop suitable educational programs and workshops for students in this field.
