Major bridge damage occurs in rivers during floods. Damage occurs for various reasons. The mainreason for its presence in the river bed at the foundations of the bridge, i.e., the pier and the polishingof the abutment, is the accumulation of sediment in the bridge foundation along with a larger blockagethan the bridge foundation, which is separated by the impact of the water flow on the bridgefoundation and the change in the flow pattern of the scour hole around the foundation. Since the structure of the flow around the bridge base is complex, it is very difficultto model a general empirical relationship that can provide a proper estimate of the scour depth. So far,the experimental relations presented did not have the appropriate accuracy to estimate the scour depth.In this article, we study the capabilities of Fuzzy Network Algorithms (ANFIS), Support VectorMachine (SVM) as well as Honey Bee Mating Optimization Algorithm (HBMO۳) were used tocalculate the local scour depth around the bridge foundations.
