چکیده مقاله:

Samak –e- Ayyar is the longest prose story in Persian folk literature, mirroring beliefs, thoughts and imaginations of its time. This story was being told by Parthian musicians till one day a person called FaramarzibnKhodadiKatebArjani collected it. The vivid presence of women in this story paved the way for the examination of women's representation in the story and the assessment of paradoxical ideas existing in this work with a deconstructive approach and relying on the period of the narrative. In the end, it was proved that patriarchal atmosphere and the narrator's unconscious had been significantly effective in creating Ayyar's women and the roots of misogyny in the story
