چکیده مقاله:
Background and Objectives:Influenza virus(H9N2) infections can cause respiratory and systemic disease of variableseverity and also result in economic losses for the poultry industry. Decreased efficacy of production and increased mortality rate are observed inaffected flocks. Serological assays are useful tools to evaluate immune status of birds.Hemagglutination inhibition (HI) test is the most commonly used serologic assay in diagnosticlaboratories.Materials & Methods:In this study, 180 samples were collected from industrial poultry in Abadeh.Blood samples were taken from the wing vein of each bird.The samples were transported to thelaboratory and were examined using the hemagglutinationinhibition(HI) assay.Results & Conclusion:In the present study, HI tests showed that the lowest and the highest meanantibody titer of AIwas2.60 withC.V 19% and 12 with C.V 6%,respectively.According to the findings of this study, there is a need more surveillance on poultry in the country and planning for the control of avian influenza.
