The hydrocarbon compounds which are discharged in to theenvironment are affected by various physical,chemical and biologicalalterations.It is important to note that the oil spills are a global concerndue to the environmental and economical impact. The main concern ofthe environmental experts is the pollution from the production andtransfer of oil spill in different ecosystems. It should be noted thatdrilling wells has many environmental problems and environmentalhazards. Among the consequences of releases of various types of crudeoil, it is possible to mention the adverse environmental effects, thedeath of marine organisms, the inappropriateness of seafood for humanconsumption and the reduction of the power of flying sea birds due tothe impregnation of feathers into petroleum products. Hence, thecleaning and removal of oil pollution from the environment isimportant. It should be stressed that the cost of oil spill clean updepends on relatively large parameters such as the type of oilcompound that leads to pollution of the water, the amount and severityof the contamination, the time of the accident, the location of the event,the coordinates and geographical, political, economic, Physical andbiological location of the accident.Thus in this paper examines the latestmethods for removing the oil spill from seawater, such as some cleanup biotechnologies, the use of dispersants, adsorption and separation from the surface of water by various types of adsorbents and also theapplication of Skimmers and Booms will be discussed.
