چکیده مقاله:

In the present study, multicomponent cyclocondensation reaction involving functionalized benzaldehydes, barbituric acid, and malononitrile/cyanoethyl acetoacetate was disclosed to synthesize 0f 7-amino-5-aryl-2,4-dioxo- 1,3,4,5-tetrahydro-2H-pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine compounds under aqueous conditions. The reaction is catalyzed by potassium phthalimide (PPI) in water as green solvent at 80 ºC. The present methodology offers many attractive merits, such as, highly yields of desired products, short reaction times, safety, easy operability, environmental friendliness.
