All businesses have access to an extensive pool of knowledge managed by rewards systems consisting of extrinsic and intrinsic rewards. The lack of knowledge sharing (KS) is a major barrier to the effective management of knowledge in organizations. Thus، the current study seeks to evaluate knowledge sharing based on company’s database. Methodology of this essay is composed of different steps through which after reviewing literatures، data was collected from company’s databases of 4 sections and organized based on knowledge management staff opinions. Three main hypotheses for individual-based rewards (IBR) and three main hypotheses for group-based rewards (GBR) were involved in this study. The results of SPSS demonstrated that knowledge sharing was significantly different among sections، which can show that extrinsic rewards، such as pay rise in this company، cannot motivate all individuals and groups to share their knowledge.
